Fully Ambidextrous Pistols

you can get an ambidextrous safety for 1911s. I haven't found the mag release or slid release to be a problem -- both actuated with my index finger of my left hand.

And, if you want, you can replace your magazine catch with an ambidextrous version.

Trigger Finger Magazine Release For Right- & Left-Handers

Get quick, positive magazine changes, without shifting your grip. Fully ambidextrous magazine release permits use of trigger finger or the thumb to release the mag; provides full left- or right-hand magazine control for 1911's.

The list has been updated.

For some reason, this thread didn't show up in my subscriptions list when you guys posted. Odd.

I'm a leftie & left eye dominant. Been making do with pistols set up for right handers all these years. Go figure! :yingyang:

NAA has it right. A buddy is left handed and he shoots better than most right handed shooters and his pistol has the mag release and the slide lock on the left side. Its called training, get some and stop worrying about the setup.
