Fun idea - .50BMG....

Guys.. you're killing me. Repetedly quoting that unfinished Canstar .50 is like seeing a fat chick on girls with guns thread. It just won't go away! :D
Does fit the modern art/mechanical, all work-no play theme though.

The gun on Canstar's site is as slick as the prototype is brutal ... and the price is still great!

From their site:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
.50 BMG
2,000 +yd eff. Range, Scope Base, 34" Long Range BR , Muzzle Brake, Positive extraction, Timmney Adj. Trigger, Recoil Reduction system, Foldable Bipod, Only 32lbs, Recoil like a 243.
Price - $2995.00
Curious, when they say "Recoil like a .243" do they mean a .243 derringer? :p
LOL when I find something I cant hit with my 3006 maybe... but I get tired just thinking of carrying a 50 cal
I thought I'd posted a update, my apologies. What I was working on didn't pan out but it still may. I can't say anything else at the moment, sorry.
Darn. Too bad.
Although I'd never in my lifetime have the cash to purchase a 50 BMG, I just love hearing all the cool, neat things coming out of the craftiness that is Ryan and the gang at SFRC.
thegundealer. net has a single shot .50bmg from canstar for 2999.99.
Its ugly to some I'm sure, but I love the raw mechanical aspect it has.
Ross is a good guy to deal with. Bought every gun I own through him.
I'm pretty sure that's the first generation version that they were making. Was a good first try but was lacking in a few areas. They do a gen II now that looks better and supposedly has the old issues all worked out.
