Funny Rig for LEO

What's with all the kissing faces in the original posters post? What is it supposed to signify? Seriously... I don't know.

If I had a hello kitty assault sling would I get it?

A number of LE are also ex military.

A larger number of US LE also buy their own gear compared to Canadian LE, due to it being allowed as well as not provided by the dept.

It was a "Bow and Arrow type weapon shooting" at a college in Wyoming, in case anyone is wondering.

What kind of bow? Crossbow? Compound? Arrows and soft armor don't mix.

The fact that he has a water bottle in his dump bag says a lot to me. Mostly that hes spent time training and probably knows how his kit works. I've seen way more "other" crap in dump bags than I've ever seen magazines.

I would still rather have him show up in my aid then some other half equipped robocop who thinks his morning flex and rub out is all he needs to get through his day. I wear more sh*t on my belt than I think I need too, until I need it.

Good point. How many army or retired army guys saw their peers carrying cans of pop, chocolate bars etc in their respirator bags, either jammed in with the mask, or the mask not there?

Funny, with the new rules for some of the sub-forums why is it that this thread is still going on? I'll give the 'mods the benefit of the doubt by assuming they haven't seen this, otherwise is it the policy of this board to ignore threads where the purpose is to ridicule LEO's by armchair commandos who's greatest accomplishment in life was getting their PAL and buying a gun? The ignorance of this thread is unreal. Some of you, including the author, are beneath contempt.

His rig has ammo, comms, a light, and an IFAK... I don't really see anything that shouldn't be there, since it's rather basic stuff to have on a rig anyways. Same goes for his rifle, I don't understand what you don't find useful about an Aimpoint, a tac light and BUIS.

Also, a grenade pouch? I really hope there is some sort of non-lethal device in there shaped like a grenade. . . otherwise someone is quite a hard charger

I think I see a shotgun shell in there.

??? am I missing something, that looks fine to me... med kit, mags, what looks like pepper spray, a radio, dump pouch, a gun with an optic and a flash light...

maybe this is more to some peoples liking

no excess gear there

Never mentioned anything about his rifle, I think it's a great example of what a working AR needs on it. None of the extra random sh*t that serves no purpose other than to weigh you down. As for the amount of stuff granted I'm not in his situation, so I don't know exactly what is required. But I should have worded it a little better, I more meant that it's a lot of stuff and seems crammed in to any available spot. Just my opinion that it's more of a tour rig. As for the possible shotgun shells in a grenade pouch. . . fill your boots I guess. I'd think that it would be a hindrance being in there, but whatever works for him. Still stand by my previous opinion that the med pouch is in an inaccessible place. Maybe he's one of those guys that puts it on his back so that someone coming for buddy or first aid will have to roll him to use his kit thus remembering to check his back for any wounds. However, you still need to be able to reach your pouch for self aid.

Rifle is also over done, I would be just running a carbon fiber tube forearm or one of those rounds ones to eliminate all the rail space. perfect example how rail space is useless. NEA got that part right imo.

Id be rocking something like this, super simple, super light, I done with tacticool rifle, had to many useless:

its his tac vest is a absolutely overdone. This thread was posted to talk about how people over do rigs and forget to keep it simple. That guy is rocking USA army style rig. Black water guys had less, less is more. This thread has a place, and should not be shut down. It serves a purpose. Critic a rig. So people can learn from it.

Let me post examples of clean rigs:

over done but he is in war zone, so more reasonable then this guy at a school killing:

Armchair commando's all up in this thread.

A) Criticizing a basic AR with barely anything on it, then posts own preference which includes some super tactical stock, custom fore-end and grip without BUIS or OPTICS, claiming it is simpler and more effective than the one the LE is using.
B) Criticizing gear which the OP probably has never actually used in anything mentionable beyond his home mirror.
C) Bringing up legit blackwater comparisons to both A and B as if blackwater is every tactinerds wet dream be all end all superworship superheros and we should follow them to a T.
D) Emphasizing how the thread is legit because of all of the above when told how stupid this thread is.
