I realize that, but I haven't heard anyone around here having a problem with rounds cooking off. Just wondering if it's prevalent or if this is trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist.
My opinion : I think due to the nature and purpose of the IAR, which is incline to be used more often in full auto than the traditionnal M4, it would be more prone to cook off (not meaning it would). So to diminish the risk to a minimum, they put the open bolt thing.
Like they say : I'd rather have it (the open bolt thing) and not needing it than needing it and not have it.
