Does anyone know much about these rifles? I have a chance to pick 1 up in the calibre 7X64 which I understand is quite similar to the 280 Rem. This rifle has a mauser action with the big claw extractor, hinged floor plate, stepped barrel, and a safety that is in safe when pushed ahead and in fire when pulled back. It is on the bolt shroud. This rifle is very light and seems to be of excellent quality. I can find no reference to it or pics on the net. I know pictures would help but I have none. I can find pics of what I think are newer Heym rifles but none like this one. I should also add that it is not drilled a tapped for scope bases but has the integral dovetails milled on the receiver. Any ideas?
