The blue seal should probably be replaced - it is, after all, 25 years old, and probably about due.LeonardJ,
A serial number search revealed my 300S was manufactured in 1985-86. I bought it used in 1988. Almost new. Maybe it is safe to assume the blue seal is original. Should I replace it?
I will not shoot her again until I replace the buffer and clean/replace the lube, promise.
Is this the link you were referring to, for disassembly instructions?

I may be able to to do the work. What brand/type of moly grease do you recommend? Are there any other parts I should order?
Thank you
I don't recall having checked out an FWB 300 all the way from BC....eazyrider
The guy that went over the gun is Leonard Joe. Back in Ontario.
Good guy knows his stuff.
Sent him a LGR as well.

Great info /\
Between CGN and CAF, I learn something every day. Thanks!
Thanks.
I post as "Suprmatic" over on the CAF.
This is a pic that I posted for someone over on the CAF that had inquired about info on an Anschutz 250.
Rather than start a new thread, I'll try resurrecting this one.
Haven't done any maintenance to the 300S since Leonardj's last post, but figured a couple of shots won't hurt. So this afternoon, I brought it along to the range.
Sure enough after two shots, the third shot was like......pffft. Pellet stayed in the breech. I cocked it again, same result.
You can say "I told you so...shoulda serviced the rifle before shooting" I don't mind.![]()
Please tell me what is wrong with this baby.
I hope LeonardJ chimes in.
