It is very much a G36 derived rifle with a much much smarter charging handle location. Frankly the ergonomic changes they made were real blunders on the part of HK in the dev of the G36.

why do you guys care so much about a POS gun that is ugly as sin. you can build a G36 clone. and no matter wat you want some mexican H.O.S. isnt gonna "fill a g36 void".

I wonder how much these Mexican FX-05 Fire Serpent guns would cost if they were made available in our neck of the woods... If they are the Norinco price range, I would definitely be interested in an NR version. Pretty sure lots of other folks would be too.
