G19 Light Primer Strikes

Some people were saying they fixed their G30SFs with the same problem by replacing the trigger bar. Having already wasted my money on an RSA that didn’t fix the problem I thought I would start by filing the old trigger bar. I got lucky.

What’s the bump even for? Just to keep the trigger bar pushed away from the slide/frame? I had to file the top of that thing, the part that depresses the firing pin safety, but not the bump itself.

Not sure why the bump is there on the Gen 4, but perhaps a real Glock armourer can chime in. All I know is that the bump makes the trigger pull a little nastier and it interferes with slide takedown and replacement a little bit. I see it is not on the Gen 5 trigger bar so I guess it was no longer required.

The bump was to keep it aligned. Engineering solutions to a problem that didnt exist. Most are reporting both filing it and replacing with Gen 3 bars are successful.
