g36 stock for 10/22 by archangel

Update on the stock. Reps will not say any more about the Marauder kits until SHOT show end of this month.

However, it looks like the chassis will use standard 10/22 banana mags. The mag pictured is for show.

If true, that wouldn't be the best for looks while shooting but at least we will still be able to play.

No further info on pricing or delivery but the MSRP is supposed to be accurate. If this is correct, our pricing will be in the ballpark.

That's it for now....

disappointing about the mags, I dont think they realize how much more money they could make by producing good looking mags.

but I guess that part is left to the DIY community

A little bit of cabin fever goes a long way... I'm almost there so except for the bedding and a few smaller details this will be the finished product. I can cut down the barrel a good inch yet and still meet the mininmum as I've permanently locked the folder in place. Otherwise I'd have to go to a K or even E varient to keep it non-restricted goodness.

The biggest pain so far has been making the mag release work but I'm almost there. Just a quick bedding of the action and a few small details and it should be done as dinner. Perhaps a longer trigger and am thinking about cycling the bolt options...

Here's a older pic with a ruler to show how show how it meets the legal requirement, albiet with stock permanently locked in place...

What I really wanted was a .17 hmr2 barrel but Dlask wasn't making these yet. This one will be fun for now:D ... can't wait to go popping gophers with it in the spring:D

Thanks to all. My sons going to be po'd when he comes back from university to find I've evicerated one of his toys. Small cost to pay for a education I surmise.

I've got the mag release figured (it was a pain and involved some bubba linkage) but I was hoping to engage the existing bolt cycling handle on the top of the donor as a type of non-recipicating action for the 10/22. I can do it if I can cut an opening line down centre of the top of the reciever. Then it should be just a matter of engaging a sprung latch to run the bolt back and cycle a round.

My concern is the integrity of the 10/22 reciever. I've already beat it up a bit to make things fit. Perhaps the Dr can chime in as I've come to appreciate his perspective in regard to rimfire, but I don't think it would be an issue?

It's times like this I wish I was a machinist.:p

gotta love that selector switch diagram on the G36 :)

has anyone attempted to make the banana mags fit into a better enclosure?
