Got my G3A3 today and took a few quick pics to share. It came with cleaning kit, leather sling and two mags.
As per the old firearms laws, the flash suppressor is welded on. Once upon a time kiddies, overall length could be made up by welding or pinning on a muzzle device. This was to allow the rifle to originally be sold as non-restricted, shoot anywhere.
Compared to my Israeli FAL, the G3 is lighter and shorter. The FAL is a beautifully made, elegant rifle. The G3 is a Teutonic war machine. Gotta love those Germans. Well, German/Spanish design anyway. The rifle was built by Enfield in 1974.
I would so love to shoot this rifle at my next Plate shoot, but no, it's too evil.
