As soon as i heard about these i thought it was too good to be true i think now this just a pipe dream.
I would be the first one in line if Marstar imported these babies!
'Prolly talking out my a$$ here but -
SK is looking to raise around 100 million from the sale. Of the 100,000 total, 86,000 are Garands. If you do the math, it's not good news. $1000.00 ish BEFORE they leave Korea. That's assuming that they're all salable rifles. There's going to be some junk. Another 40% to cover losses and expenses? Maybe 60% to cover the interest on the loan while the guns sit in a storage facility while our fearless leaders tie the deal up in red tape?
Wow, those prices are a lot more interesting...it'll be interesting to see what comes of it if anything.
I give some credibility to the idea that the US govt. owns these rifles and they can't be sold...

Do keep in mind those are WHOLESALE prices... but if they do come to Canada, it'll be interesting to see how much the rifles are marked up.
I agree with your point about them being U.S. property- and as another poster said, SK can't afford to p!ss the U.S. off right now....
