garmin chronograph

Plenty of places that are holding to the $799 price. Even garmin site is still @ the $799. No reason to pay more than that.

There are the odd ones that have a coupon code for purchases over a $$ figure and nothing to do with the garmin, and some will allow the garmin purchase with these. I missed out on one such at the beginning as they sold out quicker than I could fill out the forms on line for purchase.

2 guys I shoot with got them from Corlanes, I tested one of theirs just before Xmas man they are nice so now I have to retire my 35 year old chrony, pen and paper and calculator so I can get with the times, I just plunked one in my basket from Prophet River $799, they still show 3 in stock, I'll have it in my hands by 9:05 tomorrow morning, I live 3 blocks from the store

Like all electronics it will eventually be better and cheaper as time goes on. I don't need one right now but maybe someday

This happens when multiple manufacturers are offering similar products, which isn't the case here. If you have the market cornered, especially if your initial price was reasonable/less that the closest competition, there's zero reason to drop a price. Count on these getting more expensive over time, not less.

He was also selling Arken scopes for almost double the sale price from multiple site sponsors. I sent him a POLITE pm to let him know his price was almost double the multiple sale price of $679. He replied the sales would be over soon. OK Think somethings definately rusty haha

They are cheaper than that at the stores I thought! LOL

May take a while, but, I can see competition hitting the market for the Garmin over the next 5 yrs or so. What will happen to pricing vs quality vs features is hard to see at the moment, can the components necc to build them, come down drastically with the production levels that market can generate? Not sure how that'll work out in the next few yrs. For some it could be a unit that'll track all the way to 1K, well over 1k in price, but does everything you ever desired, for some others a super basic reliable reader for 299.00, if that's possible, no recording anything, you write it all down. Be interesting to watch what happens for a while yet.

I believe the high demand will generate fearful competition. Hence the prices will come down with multiple offers from other emerging brands and bonus features added to the original model.
If your old chrony still works, hold on for 1 year and you might be able to save 25% of the current cost for the original model.

No one competed effectively with the Labradar for quite a while, even though it could be a pain to use.
