garmin chronograph

WELL...I did it !! Bought myself a Garmin Xero Pro !!!
Had to make a few lateral moves to do it tho...I sold my Magnetospeed V3 with the latest software UG's...450...then I sold a Bushy scope for 250...so paying 799 from Hirsch Precision here in Halifax (plus trudopes salary)...my wallet never cried too bad !

I gotta say...this thing is soooo...itsy bitsy...it's diminutive by far !!!! My V3 looked like a battering ram compared to this pip squeak ! Set up couldn't have been any easier ...BIG PLUS right there !!!

The biggest take-away for me is NOT having something strapped to my barrel during load testing to fek with my groups !! I love the magspeed V3...it NEVER failed me. ...BUTT (there's always a butt) i now don't have to go back to check velocities after I find my powder nodes !
Waiting on a good range day now to P L A Y !!!

Jim, it’s a model 1200. Btw, the Pelican warehouse is in Edmonton. When you buy on line, it gets shipped out of Edmonton. I picked this and my big magnum rifle case up at that warehouse.

Great ideas !! The case and xtra battery pack. Is it one of those cell phone sized portable units that can charge a couple phones or laptops before needing to be charged again ? I have a couple of those here and was thinking on adding the one from my hunting pack to my range bag now.

Has anyone tried to plug the Xero into the battery pack and then use it as intended ? before it needed to be charged ?

IF...anyone's interested..Just noticed this morning ..that in the new small book flyer that Princess Auto puts out. Starting Jan 30th-Feb 11th...very similar hard impact cases on for 40% off !! The reg price is 79.99 on for 44.99...bright orange too ! Size is 16L x 13W x 6 3/4 H... Gonna have to investigate those.

The battery packs or power banks charge cell phones as well as anything else that can be charged with a USB cable. They can charge the Garmin (and the Labradar). They come in different sizes. There's lots of different battery packs or power banks available.

The same goes for hard plastic cases. While Pelican and Nanuk make excellent cases, there are many others easily available in a variety of colours and sizes. I ordered one yesterday for just under $50 delivered. This one is approximately 11.6" X 8.3" X 3.7" (outside dimensions) with configurable foam inside.

I specifically went to the range with a low battery in mine. That said, it still lasted forever, and I was down to my last 5 rounds, and had to stop shooting and play with the chrony to fully run the battery down until shut off. Lasted WAY longer even with a min charge than I was exptecting.

Anyways, once it shut off with no power, I plugged in my makita power bank that I use and she fired up right away, and I was able to use it like normal to shoot the last 5 rounds. Everything went just as normal.

I had a few errands to run on the way home, and about 2 hrs later when I got home I was near full charge.

Yes, and power bank with usb plug will work. I have a few different one, but usually carry my makita, as it is the fastest recharge 18 v battery pack. 5.0 amp battery with usb charge adapter.

You can get them for most any of the popular batteries now.

Would this work as well, I have all Dewalt stuff

This would be a cheaper version for just USB adapter. No need for it to charge, as you would have chargers already.

Labradar was a bit late to the game. But they to have a small form factor chronograph coming to market. The Labradar LX. I was going to save up to buy the Garmin this year, but if Labradar is made in Canada. I'd much rather buy a Canadian made product instead of one made in Taiwan.

Is the LR made in Canada? Or just assembled in Canada?
