Gen2 DA 50BMG stiff bolt-opinions needed

I don't have a whole lot of hope for a resolution. I am tempted to bring it to a smith and try to have it fixed myself. I really hope CanAm comes through.

I was going to have insite arm to work on my barrel/chamber issue but Canada Ammo it will void the warranty so I strongly recommend just wait for their new barrel to arrive or return for refund(I went this route).

All it requires is one shot to know whether your gun is affected. If you cant get it open with reasonable force there is an issue.

So my first da50 was junk and CA told me I modified it with an atrs lower so I voided the warranty. After posting pics and video here I got a new barrel that failed headspace.so my question to Canada ammo, do you want to buy the complete rifle back or do you want to try a third barrel on the rifle I bought from you??

You should try to get a refund if you can IMO. The ETA for the new batch of barrel is unknown(I was told the barrels are coming back in June/July) and the quality is unknown.

Sent in a few questions about these issues, August 30, got back "A support representative will be reviewing your request and will send you a personal response within 2 business days (Usually much sooner)"
Nothing heard. Starting to get a bit concerned. And no, nothing in my junk mail either...

I'd definitely be following up on it.....

I have been watching this thread in hopes of a resolution.

I have decided to stop using the firearm since it is damaging the brass that I had hoped to reload. 50 rounds fired so far.

Please put me on the contact list for returns for examination. Order #4018084.

I'm also shocked... you think they would step forward and fix this. Bye-bye reputation.
This is the reason why Wolverine & Reliable Gun are my preferred places to spend my money.

Just put in a follow up "ticket". For some reason I can't log into the site to check status, and can't reset my password. Anybody else? Can anybody chime in if they can access their ticket?

Excact same issues as me, 70 rnds or so in mine. Damn, it was fun. I sure hope this works out, would suck with the investment I've got in scope and ammo...

Not to mention the grief I got from my wife! She was, unfortunately, home when canpar delivered it. Pretty hard to explain that package! Someday maybe we'll laugh about it...

I have a sizable investment in ammo, but reloading could offset that a bit...

There is a Bushnell 6-24 G2DMR on mine right now, but the planned glass was a Nightforce ATACR 7-35 (double the price of the firearm).

IMHO, this firearm is a real winner for CANAM, with the ATRS lower it looks beautiful compared to all of the competition at the price point. Too bad Mossberg sort of took the wind out of their sails...

The awesome power still rattles me a bit, I would hate to be anywhere near a catastrophic failure.
