Get ready to drool! (pic intensive)

I never fired a suppressed pistol. It's VERY snappy.

Yeah, that is a function of the recoil booster or Neilson Device. It helps the gun to cycle normally with the extra weight on the barrel but it also imparts quite a lot of muzzle flip.

Any idea what cans those were, they look to be quite large diameter.

What can is that on the Timberwolf? It looks like the PGW can but AFAIK it is near impossible to import cans into the USA. We have built a can for the Timberwolf but so far the CDN Army seems somewhat indifferent. :( Which is too bad cause ours is waaay quieter and smaller than the OEM can.

I don't thing that was a PS90, but a P90 (full auto) no? He probably tripped over a straw and a hen kicked it.

The only other .338s there were B&T and a Blaser with a funky straight pull bolt. Timberwolf was the star, hands down. The B&T actually hurt to shoot. Took me three rounds to get on guessing the wind - not my strong point. In my defence it was pretty gusty.

Some dudes told me that the Timberwolf beat the AI in the UK, but they still got AIs. Go figure.

I spent one day between the sniper and pistol and the rest at CQB. Waaaaaay more fun.

What do you mean it hurt to shoot? Small buttpad?

What made the Timberwolf best of the 3?

Interesting that most of the rifles I see in your photos are outfitted with 2x (or higher?) magnifiers and red dots. As I've read from very credible sources, 95% of engagements are within 100 meters. This is one more proof for me that running a red dot with a magnifier really is one of the best optics solutions available. Thanks.

Are you referring to current engagements in Afghanistan? If so, your very credible sources are also very, very wrong.

The timberwolf cleaned up against a dozen other sniper systems.

What were the other dozen systems?

I'd put my money on the shooter being the one who "cleaned up" against the others.

So I went to Disneyland for guns a few weeks ago. It was an Aimpoint invitation only shooting course with reps from the major players: FN, HK, Sig Saur, Colt Canada, B&T and Glock. Four days, perfect weather. There was CQB ranges, pistol ranges, long range and sniper ranges and even grenade launchers. I got to shoot EVERYTHING!

The CQB ranges were the best, with fixed and robotic targets. I got to shoot the C8 against the SCAR and the 416 all at the same time, and in full auto.

F*ck you!

Joking! :p

Looks like a ton of fun. :D
