Get your tavor on! Spring courses by Zahal

How was the course though?

also wondering how important a 100 yard zero is for the course. The only range I have access to is a 50 yard range.

We were shooting steel at 50, 75, and 100 yards. The shooters who only had 50 yard zeros (or the few "battlefield zeroes" done quick and dirty right then and there) definitely had to keep that in mind for the furthest shots.

I gotta head out otherwise if im late shes going to make me do laps around the range

Look at that, I managed to perfectly capture her disapproving stare into the back of your head...

Someone's butt isn't on their boot. :p

There was a loaner rifle that needed to have the zero checked. A couple people just got their optics mounted before the course but didn't have a chance to confirm. I think all but one of the rifles were good go when checked at 50m. There was one that had a wandering POI, which we figured was a mount issue. Didn't take much time at all to sort out.

Guys showed up without zeroed rifles?

I lent him my acog for the second day, I think he's hooked now.

Oh yah guys heres a few things you will need:
Knee pads
Tough pants with rip stop
Elbow pads if you go prone
Advil for joint pain
A good sling!
Good and tested 10 rounder mags
Gloves (for going kneeling and prone)

I stress on the good sling part, your rifle is slung on you for 8-9 hours, get a really good sling.
