I'm not stuck with any. Every handgun I own is an upraised middle finger for Justin, Mario and Wendy.
Saying 'stuck with a pistol' to me is like a fat person saying they're stuck with an ice cream cake.
You just lend him the reg. slip along with the pistol. It can be an indefinite thing so long as the goal posts remain static. Have him rent it off you indefinitely for $800.
My wife and I are looking to relocate to another country (Australia) in a few years where it will be unlikely I will be able to bring them with me. Knowing that, I took some money off the table and sold a couple I wasn't using. I will still have about $5-6K in handguns I will need to do something with and sure as sh*t they won't be surrendered unless compensation is being offered. Will be interesting to see what options will be available to us (exporting, lending, etc) or hopefully we get leadership with common sense once it's obvious this isn't going fix gang violence in big cities.
CBC can fill half hour with some butt hurt snowflake wailing about some perceived injustice but not a peep about the scores of people in your position through no fault of their ownWe are all in that boat. I have 20k plus in handguns alone. I am getting on in years and have severe arthritis in my hands. I can’t sell them. They want you to turn them in but have never mentioned compensation. So we are all stuck with them in the end. I sm fortunate that I have been buying and weeding out handguns for nearly 50 years and have gotten to the stage that I can say I haven’t got a single handgun I don’t want. I have done more than my share of impulse buying though
I talked to the Ontario CFO about that, they said they would approve ATT for borrowed handguns, but if they see people doing it frequently or for long periods of time they will deny them.
They don’t want people borrowing handguns as a way around registration and you still need an ATT when you borrow one.
This is kinda of an annoying thread , let me explain . All the handguns I have and all those I wanted and scrambled to buy are exactly what I wanted . Unfortunately there are some that I wanted and didn’t get a chance to buy because sold out . One of those was the new anaconda . I don’t have one because sold out everywhere but I really wonder how many people scooped up an anaconda but didn’t really care for it instead just bought it because .
There’s a few others that I didn’t get because of this unsure panic buying , pretty silly

If they are guns that fit LE standard, maybe would look to sell to people who can still buy, or export out to the USA. Stopping handgun sales is one thing, but without some sort of a compensation program the government is going to have a hard time keeping an absolute "no transfer" program and rely on people to surrender firearms worth thousands of dollars, that they cannot use anymore. My wife and I are looking to relocate to another country (Australia) in a few years where it will be unlikely I will be able to bring them with me. I have too many to begin with and since money doesn’t grow on tree’s I couldn’t just buy that too . That said , I didn’t really panic buy anything per say but I did grab 4 that I wanted when the ban was announced . I did see the anaconda after June first but it was already selling for $2700+ where ever I managed to see it . All regular priced stores were sold out and I wasn’t gonna justify an extra $300 just because ban . So again congrats to those who got em but hearing about regrets after the fact just makes me think there may have been a few I coulda snatched if people didn’t go mad buying everything than regretting it after .Why did you scramble so late? Why did everyone scramble so late? Did the libs scare you all into panic buying? I knew they were going after handguns last year, this is why I sold off everything I didnt need.
Let me just give you advice, if you want to buy something, buy it now, because libs will ban it next year. You want an sks? or other semi auto rifles? buy it now, otherwise you will be scrambling again. Also dont kid yourself, cpc isnt reversing anything.
I've got 5 polymer 80 lowers I bought that I might regret if they ban import of parts but I'll get to that bridge when it crosses
Meanwhile someone who really needed a P80 lower could not get even one. Yes your predicament does indeed make me smile. Bought 5 legal handguns and not one of them goes bang. Enjoy!!
You're correct. I own 5 perfectly legal polymer 80 frames. If you don't think I can get access to a machine shop if they do end up banning parts. Well. You can keep on smiling I guess
