Anyone ever tried these? I just ordered a set from Brownell's, I'm just curious of the quality, if they work good etc. etc.
i heard they add a bit of weight if that matters to you
Thanks for the first hand feed back, Im glad to hear you got back from your tour safe and sound....I used a set on my personal EOtech during my deployment. I found them to be very useful in keeping out the sand and debris from the lenses. They are very light made of some type plyable plastic. The fit of my set is very good.
Deployment is very easy, with the flick of your off-hand thumb. It takes a fraction of a second. If you are going to be using them, use common sense as the previous poster mentioned...open them well before using your rifle and sighting system.
There were a number of guys using them during my tour (that's where I first got the idea to purchase).

I have one on my Eotech. I find that the fit is not perfect. It is fine for a range rifle but could be better for something that will be used in a real world environment. It is better than nothing though. Weight? Ya if you are a weak kitten, it adds some weight.
