I've had 3 SAM guns and they were all lacking in something with regards to fit, finish, function. One higher end one looked like a beaver had chewed out the innards of the slide.
If the new Seraphim guns are the same Fusion ones that Wanstalls was going to bring in I thought the consensus was that they were dead ringers for SAM guns, at a ridiculous markup.
I've had an Armscor and an STI Spartan (armscor frame/slide I think they were). Both were leagues better than SAM.
I liked the R1 save for the ugly oversized sights - they may as well have put a Novak clone on it.
Norinco is ok if rough, crude, and a bit sloppy are fine with you. I put them right in there with a Tokarev - a blaster. Nothing wrong with that if that's what you're expecting.
In the end I said to myself that if I wanted a proper GI 1911 that I could shoot and admire, it have to have that Colt roll mark on the slide. All I've done on mine is to install an older style wide spur hammer, as I don't care for the silver 2D looking part.
