Girsan Regard Thread

I took the spring out, clipped two coils with a sidecutter and saw a dramatic improvement in the trigger.

how does this affect the force that the hammer imparts on the primer? IE, is it more likely to cause light hammer strikes?

Don't get me wrong, I hate the double action trigger pull, but the thing is dead reliable tho, and I don't want to frig that up.

so, if I do get one, I should get the extra power one?

and, just so I understand, what exactly does this one do? I know the INS didn't want the mousetrap style spring to break, so they had this one built.

Anyone have to do any fitment on hogue rubber grips to get them to seat better? looks like i have to drill out the holes .035 bigger so they seat around the bushings properly.

look nice though

I just forced the grips on and threaded the screw through. The extra rubber was removed by the screw.
Your approach sounds more civilized though. :)

Beretta makes a .22 conversion kit. The Kit can be mounted on ALL SERIES 92 PISTOLS WITH STANDARD FRAME - MODELS 92SB, 92F, 92FS, 98F, 98FS and 96 as well as MODELS 92G, 96G, 92D, 98F CAL. 7.65 MM PARA and on the TARGET, BRIGADIER, CENTURION AND ELITE versions. Don't know if it will fit the Girsan or not. It's not cheap. Almost $400.00 U.S.

I have only put 100 rounds through the gun, since clipping the hammer spring. So far, 100% ignition. Tried Winchester am,mo, MFS ammo and handloads with S&B and Tula primers. The dent still looks like a solid hit.

DA is smoother. SA is down to about 4 pounds.

I like that the barrel, slide and frame are all clearly serial numbered. If I had multiple Girsans, this would keep the parts sorted.

I bought am Uncle Mikes kydex holster for it. Fits perfectly.

I received my gun last week, the overall finish is superb and tight no loose screws or pins, everything was tight. I cleaned and lubed it and went to the range. I've put 400 rounds down the range, letting the gun cool off after each mags. The bullets grouped a little bit low but that might be because I used 115 grains remington fmj bullets (I heard the accuracy is better with 124 grains bullet). Overall that was the only issue with that gun. No jammings or other issues, the pistol works flawlessly and is darn easy to clean and strip. Let´s see where the future takes us and what it´ll look like after a few thousands round but up until now I'm quite happy with my new purchase!

I got a stainless steel one and I don't know if a have an issue or not.

There's a really small hole behind the sights that has a plastic pin in it and it got out partially after a hundred rounds. I pushed-it back with my fingers but I don't know what that does.

Anybody had this problem?

Not sure where you mean? The extractor pin is just in front of the rear sight on the right hand side (where the extractor is), but it's not plastic....I don't think there is a plastic part on these guns aside from the grips.

Yeah, not sure if it's plastic or not but it's not a stainless part. Just in front of the rear sight in a small hole.

EDIT: I confirm I just verified, it's the extractor pin. Don't know why it got out while shooting.
