Having a really hard time to get a new Glock 17 Gen 4 that's Made in Austria. Any ideas where I may be able to find one? No luck here in Edmonton...Thank you!

After shooting several made in Austria and USA. I gave up to this whole thing. They look, shoot and feel exactly the same. And this comes from a guy that is PICKY.
Good luck finding one. I have not had any luck. I own a USA and AUSTRIA. The both shoot equally well.

negligible difference in quality. You will have a hard time finding austrian made units, but really it doesn't really matter unless you specifically want an austrian built unit.

Thank you guys. I know it's a tough assignment. The word "AUSTRIA" is just too hardly imprinted on my mind when I think of a Glock. I guess I will have to give in. Thanks again.

Seems like there are only made in Austria ones here. I wish I could get my hands on more USA made Glock but I think they are mostly exported.

I personally would love to get my hands on a G17 live and direct from Austria. Not that I'd be able to tell the difference from MY USA G17 but I think it'd be awesome to own one right from the original source.

K' so I just pulled mine out to detail clean it, (embarrassing filthy) the slide is roll marked "Austria" and the frame states "Made in Austria, Glock Inc, Symrna, GA. The slide, barrel and frame are serial matched (I bought it new from Glock when the Gen 4 came out)...so wtf? is it Austrian, is it American, is it both!?

Yours is both. If my info is correct, the US made guns still had their slides imported from Austria until fairly recently. That has now changed and they manufacture the entire gun in Smyrna GA. Slide included with the USA stamp on it.

An imported slide I can understand, The frame has me confused.

It states "Made in Austria." AaannnDDD "Glock Inc, Symrna GA." in the same relief in the polymer (definitely done at the same time)

Is it possible the frame, slide and internals were at one time made in Austria, then shipped to a Glock assembly plant in Symrna Georgia for the assembly of Austrian components?

I was told the slides were made in Austria as the US did not permit the treatment that they used (tennifer). From what I understand the US production slides have a similar but different chemical compound.

But who knows, I didn't receive that info from any experts so it may be entirely flawed.
