Glock 17 Hack and Stipple

Just curious, what'd you use to take off the finger grooves, et al.?

I'd like to know as well. I've been hanging on to my 2nd generation G17 because I hated the finger grooves, but I miss out on the rail. I might have to "hoodie-ize" a newer G17.

I used a sanding drum in my drill press to take the grip down. From there I used a smaller drum in my Dremel. It does take time and you can only go so fast. Taking too much off is something you don't want to do. So I took a bit, tested it for fit and grip, then took some more. The stippling does take forever. Not bad if you have about 5 or so hours to spare.;)

It's "hoddie" not "hoodie" by the way.:D
