After a few thou, clean out the striker channel, it may get carbon build up and prevent the firing pin to do full strike. and just wipe down with some clp on everything yousee. i don't lube just wipedown.

With folks who follow the manufacturers guidlines like this, its no wonder why some complain of the reliability when most(as in those who care for their firearms) have no issues.

I have found that my Gen 1 Glock failed to reset the trigger because the area around the connector trigger bar was not lubed enough. The armourer's manual pointed this out to me after I frantically replaced all said parts. Glocks are great but they do need some lube to work properly.

A used gun will never look "clean" as new ever again. Not if you cycle real ammunition through it. ;)


Bits of crap will get to where you can't. Seep out after cleaning as it sits. All you can do is maintain a functional clean unless you have the skills to fully disassemble and reassemble.

Well, if you own a GLOCK you won't have to worry about that sort of thing will ya! Then you can pretty much throw it in the dishwasher dot it with oil and RACK!

I agree, dirt and grime will find its way into all the corners and cracks. However, if you can see it, you can clean it. As for Glocks, complete strip downs are mind numbingly simple which means there is no excuse for crap to accumulate, anywhere!
