Glock 17 Slide noise

Could be the slide rubbing on the barrel, which is normal too. Pretty much all Glock barrels rub slightly on the slide and will eventually look something like this:

*This particular Glock was TORTURED so just look at the barrel :D

Wow, shes a beaut! Glocks age like fine wine!

You might want to replace your recoil assembly (at or about 5000 rounds).

Why? It looks fine, matter of fact aside from the barrel to slide wear(which appears on pretty much any autoloader by the way, only exception seems to be 1911's I have and that's because stainless just doesn't show as easily I suspect) the gun looks pretty much brand new. It's not like my life depends on this functioning 100%. I really don't think it needs to be replaced and likely won't for some time, but I am interested to know why you would suggest that. Still, if it's not broke, why fix it I say.

My Glock didn't had this problem , but the inner of slide stop always goes into the edge of mag follower at the last round after slide opened , this make the mag cannot free fall .Anyone experienced that ?

Because recoil springs need regular replacement PER THE MANUFACTURER if you expect optimal performance and function. Springs wear out after use, replace them.

ahh, manufacturer recommended. Gotcha. Well, she's running just fine and the recoil spring still seems to have a lot of life in it. I'll order one up as back up, but will likely not replace it until I notice performance issues. I'll check with Winkler at police ordnance and see what he recommends to, but thanks.

Well There's a Glock 19 roaming Europe with 345,000 rounds on original parts with no issues but its not recommended. If you run the tires bald on your car and experience issues cornering or braking, don't blame the car. Maintenance is something all mechanical devices require, even the Glock.

The springs are cheap, there's no need for owners to be.
