I am not asking preferance or moral superiority, I am asking in terms of the feel of the shot. I have been vehemently anti-glock since I owned a glock 21sf that felt like shooting a giant piece of lego that was very unnecessarily large. However, I recently had some experience with a g17 that I liked, but I am not a fan of the 9mm (personall preferance, let's not open that debate). I know the 37 uses .45 GAP. I reload so I will buy a couple thousand brass and any availability issue dissapears.
Here are my questions:
Would a normal 230 grain load in .45 gap feel hotter coming out of the g37 than a normal .45 acp out of a 1911? I know it is a higher velocity round. I have some reloading questions too, but I will ask those in the reloading section if I decide to by the g37.
How does the muzzle flip/felt recoil compare? (Flip is the wrong word for 1911's gentle and loving push but is there any with the g37?)
Any other info that you think would be helpful or that I am ignoring? I will never give up 1911's, but I am CONSIDERING adding THIS glock to the collection. There is a part of me that is uncomfortable discussing glock's as a potential purpose at all...I hope that feeling eventually passes...
