Glock 48 (vs 19, 19X, 17)

My wife and I own 7 glocks, my glock 43 and her 48 are our favorites. Both these guns point naturally when drawing, while the other glocks do not. The 43 and 48 have the best triggers of the bunch. The triggers break at 4.5 lbs. No need to modify them. All glocks function well all the time.

i feel your pain.
i too am a M&P fanboy, but ive picked up a couple Glocks over the years.
ya just cant ignore the fact that they are super reliable and there are sooooooo many add on's for them.

here, let me get your M&P juices flowing!

Jeez Louise.....that's an amazing collection of M&P's. Gotta love love the ergo's on those pistols. Shot and owned many models of handguns but nothing feels like the M&P in my hands.

I have a number of Glocks and could not resist one of the 48's on EE.

Shot it today. Excellent group at 25 yards. Elevation was perfect (unusual for me with stock Glock sights). But it shot 11" left!!. That will take some rear sight adjustment.

The last round was hard to get into the mag. I like a 10 1/2 round capacity, so that the mag locks in easily with the slide closed. I filed about 1/10" of the front and back of the follower legs to allow the follower a little more travel. This solved the problem.

Trigger is very crisp. First polymer I shot where I would be happy without modding it.

I held and shot a G48 for the first time two weeks ago. Went home and ordered one immediately. Now I just need to find a nice holster and some mag pouches for it.

late in the battle but wayupnorth how do you compare the austrian and usa made glocck pistol: as a lefty the 19x starting to grow attention in me ...

no difference.
some years they had different chemicals used due to laws but parts wise they all use the same machines and same specs.
for me being a lay person i notice no differences, im sure there are some GUCCI gun guys that maybe can.

who you should really ask this to are the Glock Armorer's that work on them, they would give ya the nitty gritty on if there are any differences.

I've looked at one at a gun store in the U.S. and it was equipped with Ameriglow sights (I believe that's right). The sights impressed me - Very quick to pick up in uncertain light.

Does anyone know if these sights come standard from the factory or are they aftermarket.

FWIW - I really liked the feel of the handgun. I could see myself owning one in the future.

You can buy it with factory installed Ameriglow sights.

Yes, you can get the Ameriglo’s from factory. I bought mine that way from Rampart but have seen them listed elsewhere too.

Does anybody have holster recommendations for the 48?
