LOL! That's OK I got it done just fine. I went down and fired 200 rounds and it worked perfectly everytime, I think. Does anyone know with a Glock when you put in a loaded mag when the slide is back does it automatically then move the slide forward hence loading a round? Mine did it only when I really put the mag in hard, if I just slid it in nicely it didn't seem to want to do it. Other then that worked flawlessly. No bulges or anything. Used only factory ammo too, American Eagle stuff.

It shouldn't move until you rack the slide or depress the slide catch. I've never had anything like that happen with my G17.

How hard are you hitting it?

Shooter was beside me. Heard a rather loud bang, louder than normal (followed by much cussing). Blew the mag out of the gun. Notice the burn marks inbetween a couple fingers.

So, I took a pic. Ammo is commercial reloads, "locally" made, sold by the bazillion to IPSC shooters.

BTW the owner (it was a Glock 34, he since sold it) is a member of this board but mostly frequents the EE (since he buys and sells guns frequently).

Definitely due to the unsupported bbl on the .40 models. And no, the 3rd generation models have the same bbl. I own one, a G22... I have never had a KB. Even though I use the same commercially reloaded ammo.

Yup thats Glock magic..... some will say thats bad, I think its Glockalicous....

Well I am not ramming it up there as hard as I can but with some force during quick reloads.

OZZ:
So this is normal and suppose to happen with Glocks?

Happens with any number of semi auto pistols. Slapping the mag home make s the slide jump a bit and the hold open releases becasue the mag follower is no longer holding it up. Only a problem if you don't like it, speeds up the reload otherwise;)

Alright cool. No it doesn't bother me, in fact I didn't even notice really the first time it happened. Just never had it happen with my Hi-Power. I do need to put the extended slide release and mag release on my Glock though that's for sure.

Well it just so happens I happened to personally blow up my G22 at the range the other night still not sure if it was a squib or an overloaded round, I do reload my own ammo but I reload them really light as I shoot IPSC, as I have been having troubles with my reloader it is possible I double charged a round.

From what I can see thus far most of the damage is to the barrel and slide. I think the frame is fine. My hands however took a hell of a pounding as did the gun when it went flying through the air.
