Here is the method to make your own grips.....
- go to skate shop as already mentioned. 10.00 will get you about a foot of abrasive tape. enough to do 15-20 glocks depending on your usage and placement.
- get your glock and disassemble.
- using the frame, a piece of paper and a pencil (not the mechanical ones), place the paper over the grip and create a relief of the "raised" portion of the grip by using the pencil on it's side.....just like you did with a coin and paper as a kid.
- repeat for the other side
- cut out the "area" you want to tape.
- if you are so inclined, make numerous photocopies of the right and left grip panel to keep for future reference or to make multiple grip panels for your friend(s).
- tape the panels on the paper side of the backed skateboard tape.
- heavy duty scissors work best - emt shears, cheap large scissors....try not to use wifey's high end sewing scissors as the abrasive will mess-up the blade and she will then mess you up.
- remove paper backing....stick to "dry" gun grip - degrase with acetone or rubbing alcohol.
I also cut out (free hand) small ovals to fit on the thumb shelves and rear of the tang.
when it is worn out, just peel the old stuff off.....re-clean and put the new stuff on again.
