Called for mine a couple of weeks after I get my Gen4 G17. Didn't have any issues with my first few trips to the range prior to replacing the RSA but figured I should call and get the replacement one regardless. I got my G17 shortly after the Gen4 was released and the RSA shipped 2-3 weeks after the call to Glock.
Just call the main Glock phone number in the US. It's in the owner's manual...or possibly on their website. Get customer service and let them know you have a Gen4...They might ask if you've had any problems with your current spring to determine if it needs to be replaced or not...There's also a marking on the RSA that indicates if you have the original or revised one.
So question Glocks "Now aka: TODAY" are they still having issue or have all batches that have been sent out in say last month to two been all cleared up??
I just got my RSA yesterday. I was told it would take 4-6 weeks and yesterday marked about 5 weeks. It is radically different and the whole operation seems to be much smoother. Now it is perfection.
