not really sure what the problem is with the orignal spring on gen4's. i have put over 3000 rounds of all brands of ammo and no problems yet. maybe it affects reloads or the early gen4 models.
Gave my info to the nice lady at Glock's tollfree #, and dutifully waited the month.....
Called back yesterday.
"Oh, you're from Canada!? You'll have to call Police Ordnance. They're looking after it in Canada."
Well, I DID call Police Ordnance, and they're not coordinating- Glock USA has to contact the Glock Canada rep.
On the other hand a friend who requested an RSA though some link on 'rock your glock' (and I can't find the link) got his spring 8 days after making the request.
So unfortunately, process hasn't been as smooth as I'd hoped....
This is exactly what I found out just yesterday when I called.
And yet some folks in Canada did get parts- really weird!
Jackrabbit000- were you able to get a projected delivery date for your RSA?
HOWEVER, I'm told a RECORD of my info wasn't kept in the U.S., hence when I called yesterday they said they didn't have my details.
No, it's been over a month now and when I called she basically said that they will forward it to Police Ordanance and they will send it to me. She said that it's beyond their control after that.
Me too, they had no record of my info either. Even when I gave them my serial number she said that I'm not in the system and had to give her all the info again. Looks like I'm starting from scratch again, a month of waiting wasted IMO.
Maybe not... the Glock rep said he had my info from a month ago, so it may not be too bad.
But it's going to be from Glock- this is different than warranty, which is what Police Ordnance looks after.
This is not encouraging news, so how does one contact the Canadian Glock rep to straighten things out?
When I called Glock the other day, she told me that they cannot send the RSA directly to me anymore. It has to be sent to a distributor and they will forward it to me. Sounds kind of strange because the last 2 springs they sent it from Glock to my house directly.
Rather than phoning, it's possible to email Glock about the rsa.
I called last week and mine is also on its way.
