Glock......I did it !

I STILL don't like a semi without a manual safety....every gun I've owned to date had them....and it's muscle memory to swipe the safety off as one is bringing the gun up....

I'm the opposite. I prefer shooting DA revolvers (mostly in dbl action) so a manual safety on a HG is not "normal" for me therefore for holster work I like my Glocks….

congrats! you will have tons of fun with it. I learned that from my G22 and G41. Great shooters and so simple to clean and maintain(compared to my 1911 which I also love nevertheless).

Well I didn`t think I would do it, but I broke down and bought a Glock 35 Gen4 .40S&W :)

I like the full size of this pistol ,although it`s about the same as a 1911 and wanted something in .40 S&W (I handled one a few months ago ,but was on the fence)

So I bought it from one of the site vendors and just need to wait for the transfer and CP to deliver.

Hope I did good ! LOL

Cheers

I must admit, in the past I never wanted a Glock but almost 3 years ago I bought G22 and I love it. To some it may look a little too simplistic but that is the idea. I picked up Lone Wolf barrel for it back then when it was possible so I shoot lead happily out of it. Something I learned over the years, it is the spare parts and accessories that get you in the end, in that aspect the only competition to Glock is the 1911. Simple but reliable construction, just replace 3.5lb disconnector and firing pin spring and good to go. I just wish there would be after market barrels readily available here in Canada without being robbed.

My first hand gun will be a Glock. I purchased a Glock 22 gen 4 on the EE. I then went and purchased a Glock 34 gen 3 at Cabelas. Waiting for both transfers to complete.

Accessories have cost nearly as much as the gun! With my OCD, I needed all the cleaning supplies first. Then, I ordered the parts needed to convert the .40 to 9mm. Extra mags, conversion barrel, a 9mm complete trigger, and a recoil spring for a Glock 17. Then, there was the holster, the mag pouches, the trigger lock (must match the others I have).

Personally, I hate Glocks

That`s a fine gaggle of Glocks ,hope I can control myself and keep it to under 3 !

Had to go to C-Tire and buy another small stack on safe (even though I have a gun room) one for autos and the other for revolvers.

This one should be full by months end ! :)

Well? Range report...?

I have always thought of the Glock as the perfect gun for phonies, gangbangers and pikers. Years ago a couple pikers opened up with one on the bench next to mine - they were shooting at the gong at 100m. Holy mackerel - those guys were getting the odd hit and those that missed - didn't miss by much! And these guys were on their first trip out with a handgun! Those boys shot up a storm that day.

I still won't shoot a Glock to this day - but I have to respect those that do...for most of them do it well. Good luck with the new iron, lad - and do get that range report up as soon as possible. :)

I`m not even sure what a "piker" is to tell you the truth ,but it did make me chuckle ! LOL

I did however just learn the term "Glocktard" ,seems a little over the top ,but I can see it Hahahahahahhhaaaaa !

I don`t expect to receive the gun until into next week ,seeing how the transfer may not get looked at until Tues ,Wed. due to the Easter weekend.

Hopefully I won`t be out of town for work again when it comes........I hate that !!!

You could shoot both and post an unbiased review, but no one here wants that!

I could buy and compare a Norinco instead !! Just kidding ,I may get one yet for fun.

Just remembered the Easter holiday ,so the transfer won`t be looked at until at least Tues or Wednesday......sheeshkabobs !

(BTW ,my CORE M4...........LOVE IT !!)

I have owned and competed with a gen 4 G35 for the last 3 years. I love, love, love this pistol... Did I mention that I am fond of the G35? You will not experience any buyers remorse! :)

I have always loved Glock, when I bought my first gun, ill be honest, I didn't really know what I bought as it just felt good in my hand so I took it. That was a glock 17 rtf2. I wish I had kept it, as rtf2 in glock 17s are hard to find. My favorite grip texture.

I have owned several glocks since. For me I just love the simplicity. Its dehorned so when drawing from holsters there is nothing to get snagged, the placement of the controls are perfect, you wont hit the slide release like you can with a sig. I like that there is no external safety, you just draw and shoot.

Very easy to field strip, parts are abundant. Easy to find cool sights for it. Unchallenged reliability imo. They just work.

You gotta keep an eye on them, or they will multiply in the safe. I don't even know where the black G17G4 came from, I thought I only had four 9mm Glocks.

Putting the G17 G3 up on the EE soon. It was my first Glock, it's not easy selling a friend, lol.

I want a G21G4 and G22G4 then my Glock collection will be complete. For now...
