Hey who are the better distributors of Glock in Canada? I’m in Ontario if that matters. It seeems like the retailers have limited stock of previous gen models, but I haven’t found a seller of the gen 5 guns and they were released last year. Is that a normal delay for them to enter the Canadian market? Or they came in and sold out?

I tried their online store and it's very meagre. Just three Clock 17s listed, one model in stock (Gen 4).
Maybe when I'm ready to purchase I'll check again and/or give them a call and see if they have a wider range.

Thanks for the tip, appreciated.

Gen 5 are still on pre-order and should be shipping soon.

A good store to work with in Ontario (GTA) is Tenda in Richmond Hill or Firearms Outlet Canada in Ajax.

Like I need another Glock but i am also wondering why the delays and lack of stock in new Glock models. I was told we would have these new guns (Gen 5 17 and Gen 4 Maple Leaf 19) in the mid to late fall 2017. Here we are in January 2018 and now another dealer is saying there is a further delay. I still have not seen an image of what the "Maple Leaf" will look like.

Yanks have had the Gen 5 since June 2017. What gives?

Will we get the Gen 5 19 too? Or just the Gen 4 with a maple leaf? Seems strange that we’d get a new Gen 4 instead of a Gen 5. Or is that normal?

Canada is a very small and very pathetic market for any firearms manufacturer. Much larger orders take priority.

I understand that, but Glock said they would have the guns to Canada in late 2017. The US is awash in Gen 5's I handled them in the summer of 2017 and all the stores had them and the market down there is very slow for guns. But maybe not for Glock.

Right, Canada is a very small and pathetic market, not worth worrying about for any major manufacturer. What is our alternative, should we petition Glock or boycott them? Oh yeah, we don't make a difference to their bottom line so that would be pointless.. Welcome to being an insignificant customer.

^^^ Unsold Gen 4 stock??

The "official" Glock pipeline into Canada has been very lethargic getting product into Canada. It could be Glock's fault, or the importers, or both? Who knows...But it has been very frustrating lately.

The Canadian market might be much smaller, but it is still worthy. Smith and Wesson seems to think the Canadian market is worthy as do other manufactures. Glock has a huge name recognition and could do much better in Canada if they could get together with the importer and get product in country. These pre orders, not just from Glock are getting ridiculous, so many fails in the last year with delays and excuse after excuse. At this point, just wake me up when you actually have product ready for me to buy now. If I were an official Glock retailer in Canada I would be very disappointed with how my business is treated by Gock and the importer.

Since the new Gen4 Glock 19 Canadian Edition will finally have a Glock Canadian compliant barrel it is imperative the official importer begin this year to bring in G19 Gen5 and the new Glock 19x with this compliant barrel.....If they fail at that, then we will know where we stand with Glock as Canadian consumers and we may as well get what we want when we want it from third party importers.

Site Sponsors IRG has G19 Gen5's and Armseast has G17 Gen 5's, in stock and in Canada for purchase right now. For those who choose the "unofficial" importers.....Vote with your hard earned dollars folks.

When I look at the IRG site, it seems their prices are quite a bit more than ‘local’ prices. Is that because of the ‘luxury’ of IRG importing models before we can get them locally, or am I missing something?
