To me, my Colt Combat Target with Pachmayrs and flat mainspring housing is as close to perfect as I've ever felt in a handgun—and I've got two GlocksSix Star said:If a Glock is "boxy", what's a 1911?
I don't know about that; Vertec model might feel a little better in my hand than regular 92fs, but I can handle/control a regular Beretta better than a Vertec (plus it looks better), so that's what I got...How big are your hands? Some people think the Beretta grip is large and makes for poor handling.

Although I consider the Beretta an exceptional handgun, I also don't like the look of the open slide. I don't think I hate it enough, not to buy it.UncleWalther said:Personally, I would go with a Glock. I think the grip is far better. I really like the sites. And, they are easy to operate for a lefty. I am probably in a minority, but I think Berettas are not nice looking guns. I hate the looks of the open slide.
