No, the Gen3 is 2mm larger.

Aside from the magazine release the grip texture's a good indicator.

I called a store and they told me that there is no such thing as G19 Gen 4 but yet I see it on Glock website.

What's the truth here? Is it G19 Gen4 not available in Canada at all hence the store said there is no such thing?

As many have stated, shop around there are quite a few shops carrying variations of the 19. I handled a couple last time I was in Red Deer at the Shooting Center

Should drop right in, the only hiccup you could encounter is the older Gen3 barrels had a smaller round cut for the recoil spring assembly. However it's irrelevant since the RSA doesn't sit on the barrel lug once the slide is installed on the frame.

Yes, there is no difference between gen 3 and gen 4 barrels.

yes but it is aftermarket modified, not done by glock. So the clerk was still right.

but you'd have to find a Gen 4 19 that was already in the country, so that means one with a non prohib barrel, so your buying a gun to throw the barrel out. A gen 4 19 can't be imported unless it's non prohib before it comes in.

Whether the barrel was modified by Glock or someone else, it does not change the fact that G19 Gen4 do exist so the clerk did not tell the truth.

If I ask whether they have a flying elephant and they said there is no such thing, they would be right and telling the truth.
