God i love fake cans

I don't understand at all paying for a fake device to hang off the end of the muzzle, add weight and length, all for the sake of "pretending".

Spending money to make your rifle be a LARP'er, with no real benefits but all the associated downsides, makes zero sense to me.

I bet you're alot of fun at the range.

I'm pretty boring at the range, I keep to myself.

It's a free country, people are free to do as they please. Enjoy your fake cans, if that's what brings you enjoyment.

I prefer to spend money on things that provides an actual benefit. Fake cans provide zero functional benefit while having all the downsides of one - well, I guess they don't "overgas" your gun, spitting gas out the port. But they do add weight, length, and reduce your bank account for no practical purposes, just ones of vanity.

To me it's like putting spinners on your car rims. Some think it looks cool, but there's zero practical benefit. But again - free country.

Enjoy your fake cans, I personally just don't get it. Things need to have a functional and practical purpose for them to go on my guns. I don't understand why people want their guns to pretend to be something they are not.

I was just watching a hunting show from the UK this morning on Sportsman Channel (free preview yay!) and the hunter/chef was hunting fallow deer with a suppressor... I guess it's considered PPE over there and an evil James Bond killing machine here... gotta love those common sense gun laws!

Suppressors are an over the counter purchase in much of Western Europe. It's easier to get a suppressor there then it is in the US.

With the high population density over there, it's considered pretty rude to shoot without one.

Like you, I wish we had more common sense laws when it comes to suppressors in North America.

The Surefire training can does have a place for me. On my SAS I have the socom muzzle break, so to be considerate of other shooters I either needed the warden or training can while on the range. Price difference was negligible (for me) and I love the look of a suppressor on SBRs. It is heavy, and makes the rifle OAL a little longer but it also makes me giddy as hell when it ‘s on.

I spent $10,000 on a pair of Fake Cans... best ten grand I’ve ever spent... The may not silence the ol’girl at all, but they sure make’er a lot more fun to handle... ;)

I will bet they are still real enough to touch and make you giddy as hell... nothing fake or a waste of money there in my opinion. Now you got me thinking I need a pair. =)

I highly recommend it, I have no idea what make or model they are but apparently they’re of the 475cc variety. Whatever that means... Maybe there’s a keyboard ninja out there that knows all about cans and can fill us all in... lol

Love mine on my MV
