Gold speer 9mm +P+ in a gen4 G17.

I had 20 rounds given to me and I'm not sure if it's a good idea to fire them out of my Glock or not. Is this safe or a bad idea to fire +P+ out of a Gen4 G17 or g19. Thanks.

I would if it were me without hesitation. 20 rounds isn't that much. I've got no idea if it's true but I've read online that +P is about the same as NATO 9mm, and I fired probably 5000 rounds of that back in the 1990s through my first G17. Factory +P+ can't be that much worse Not responsible if it blows up your Glock

The only 9mm pistols you have to worry about with high pressure ammo are stuff like vintage Hi Powers and early S&W autoloaders, and even then, you'd probably have to do a fair amount of shooting to cause a problem as long as they were in good condition.

That said, I'd hang onto this ammo if I were you.

Thanks for the replies. As a few have mentioned I will probably just try out a few rounds and hang onto the rest.
