Good .38 Rimfire Work around

Where you get theses 9mm Rf things /
How about a 38 sp case drilled out the back will the 9 mm case press/ fit in the shortened 38 sp case just like a 22 in a 32 Rf case that you see on CGN ?
Theses are the perfect rf primer we just gota figger out which parent case to fit them in.
I dont know how loose they fit in the 38 Rf chambers ?

I checked a fired 38 Sp case i have fits right into a 38 Rf chamber so if theses 9 mm things can be fitted into the back of a 38 sp case then you can use shortened 38 Sp cases and 38 Sp SWC bullets with BP loads.
Turns every 38 Rf gun back into a reloadable shooter if them 9Mm cases arnt imposible to buy.

Bingo!, these would make perfect inserts with their nice large rimfire primers, please let me know when you figure something out, have no idea where to get them 9mm floberts.

I tried 38 special brass with a .375 bullet to reload 38 rimfire as shown below but the 11/32 hole needed in the back of the 38 brass is too large so the
rim falls off when drilled. so probably not re loadable more then once.

I see.
well how about buying the longer 9 mm folberts there is a longer case version. slip over a 38 case tube then open up the mouth so it will hold the 375 bullets. then they will be tight in the chamber. they look like soft brass or copper so opening up the mouth for a bigger bullet should work this will also trap the 38 sp brass sleve as well.
I made some 30 Rf ammo this way with brass tubes and 27 hilti caps.

Just today I chronographed my 9mm acorn BB cap workaround with the help of a friend.
These short cases with 2.2 grains of Red Dot under the 60 grain (?) lead roundball, averaged a mere 400 fps measured at about 6 feet from the muzzle from the 3 3/4 inch barrel. Still dangerous enough to deserve respect and that's about it.
Although these would probably never get stuck in any antique 38 rimfire pistol with a good bore, I strongly suggest not shooting these in any rifle or carbine so chambered. IMO, a good way to get a lead bullet stuck halfway down a long barrel.
Accuracy was not tested due to limited time.

just info............

Cheers!
