nice little gun. I would like to find one of the 9410 modles for bird hunting
why do you pluck them? i just step on the wings and pull the legs. works pretty good.
I breaqst mine at times as well, but also like to stuff them like a Cornish Game hen.why do you pluck them? i just step on the wings and pull the legs. works pretty good.
Did you notice the difference in feed in their crops? That will tell you how to cook them.
I guess those of you who step on wings do NOT live in Ontario
if the Game Warden catches you doing that in ontario you just lost your truck the gun and whatever you have with you durring that hunt
It is classfied as waste of eddible meat such as drum legs
Also in Ontario you need to leave one wing on feathered for identification
you dont want to chance of loosing things to stupility in ontario
I dont know what are the regulations in other provinces or territories
I'm curious as to what you mean. I'm new to hunting upland game birds and I didn't know that the amount/type of food that they had in their crop made a difference.
Also do you guys prefer to hunt grouse with a .22 or does anyone use shotgun? I have both but I'm not sure what to take with me when I go out next week.

Apology for the hijack of the original thread....
Regardless of who considers what portion of the game taken is more (or less) suitable for consumption etc.....it's very sad to see wild game subjected to such indignitydespite the fact that nothing goes to waste since Nature's "disposal system" quickly takes care of any remains left behind. The very attitude is simply just not correct.
IMHO, Hunters/Anglers (and all Outdoorsmen in general) must display complete regard for what Nature has to offer as that privilege may some day no longer be readily available.
Came across this one some place in good ol' ON last week.....
While you are entitled to your opinion, this is not the place to express it.
The way to ensure we will always hunt is by sticking together and recognizing we are a community who need each others support. And that is far more important than your silly and uninformed opinion.
