Good choices for .20 gauge semis.

A friend just picked up a Benelli Ethos Sport in 20 Gauge and after shooting some skeet and sporting clays with it I'm convinced that if (when) I buy another shotgun, this will be it. It's the nicest handling semi-auto 20 gauge I've ever used.

The Weatherby SA-08 20ga is a great little gun. We really like it - and after a few dozen mixed rounds there was no need to change the piston for light/heavy shells. Does not miss a beat.

I'd stay away from the Armsan A620, Mushberg SA20 and the likes of similar designs although some sellers on here advertise them like "Same gun as Weatherby" or "Same gun as big brand names... but hundreds of $ cheaper". IMO salesman BS!

Aren't those 3 all the same gun?

I will toss this out there as I owned a Hatsan Escort 20ga for a bit and shot well. Traded to a buddy who has used it lots and his kids shoot the hell out of it regularly and it has been dependable and shoots very well. The same buddy shoots a 1100 20 ga and has no issue with either and shoots a ton of backyard clays.

Remington 1100s are awesome. The sporting series have beautiful wood. I have one in 28ga. Would love to add one on a 20ga eventually.

I also like the Weatherby's, I was considering the one in EE that is NIB, but this 1100 came my way and I've always wanted one.

The Browning Silver is another one that really catches my eye. They are a really nice looking shotgun.
