Good Luck Canadian Army Combat Shooting Team!

I can't figure out who is not doing their homework. I have been to Australia a few times, never had an issue taking my C7.

All it takes is having the correct paperwork.

Must have been an officer planning this trip to Down under, oops did I say that out loud?

haha, I'll keep relatively quiet on this one, but let's just say it was not an officer planning it. We got down just fine last year too.

The American's having a hissy fit about their closest allies moving through their country for a few hours with their service weapons had more to do with it. They are doing the same thing to the guys trying to get ammo down for the Benning sniper comp this year.

Good job America, your borders are safe from the Canadian Army.

;) US changed the rules again making it that much more difficult again

BMW Josh is missing his drinking partner. ;)I think he finished 3rd ADF this year.Great guy.

Anyways individual stuff is said and done. Our performance was apparently better than last years however we still would have done better with our own kit and ammo.
I think Gunnerlove was about 28th overall and I was 31st out of 190.Not stellar but not too bad considering the crap guns and really crap ammo.Every casing was dented pretty much.I'm thinking it might have been seconds from the factory if there is such a thing.

Not too many folks using irons.Phillipines had the nicest setup.Colt H Bar with a nightforce 2.5-10.Unfortunately most of the Asian teams are gaming things a bit by bringing their DMR rifles instead of their issue guns.Little hard to keep up at the longer ranges and in the wind.
The Indo's have their SS2 DMR which seems to be based off an AK.Same kinda gas system.A any rate it shoots well. They are a annoying bunch though.I basically had to tell them to f**k off when they wanted to take some of our guys out of the first relay of an LMG match yesterday to put in some of their own guys.Their Auzzie translator thought it was pretty funny because they are always pushing and no one puts them in their place.

Excellent job guys! Give Josh my best, he treated us well last year.

The Filipinos last year were using beat up bushmasters with irons that their team captain/sergeant major had doctored up with match parts. They were good guys, good shots and had alot of good stories about killing Abu Saif in the jungles with machetes. The arrogant Indons did not like hearing us trading war stories with the devout catholic Filipinos about killing their Jihadi brothers overseas. HA who's winning now.

Well another aasam down. From what we have bean told we have done better then last year except for in 2 matches and in drinking.
Ended up winning the defensive fire match. Coming in 4th in match (?)and 5th in pretty much every other match. But shooting the M4's and having the worst ammo that any of us has ever seen, things went well. Next year we hope to have our own rifles (I think the aussie pistols are nicer unless we can get some 226's) and ammo and then will be in a better spot to compete and win.
I would like to thank Dave Oakie (our coach, team captain, and admin nco) for all of his help with the shoots and building the team to what we are.
