I've used a variety of powders in some of the jacketed and cast loads I've fed my 458WM. Especially with the likes of the 500gr Hornady RN, IMR 4320 has worked the best for me. This is my load but adhere to the usual safety cautions when you work up to this load.

 
Either 4198 for any bullet weight from "powder puff" to "ouch"!

Not always the optimum, but very versatile. I use it in 45-70 and 45-90 too.
