Sight mounts a bit low for an AR, it'd be preferable to use a picatinny riser

What is the purpose of the silver screw on the right hand side, on the clamping jaw?

Mine is on a VZ58 side rail mount
 
Did anyone manage to get the two black plastic protective caps over the sighting adjustment screws? Mine simply will not fit.

Yes they seem to be a bit small compared to the holes. Maybe a small dab of light sealant or adhesive would do the trick. Covers are not required for use.
 
Can more people post some pics of these mounted to their rifles please and thank you.


I have read good things about these, they are supposedly very durable (probably why they seem to be standard issue to the German Paratroopers)
 
Just ordered one so now all you folks will have to think of something else for my birthday - which is soon approaching. Once it arrives, it will find itself atop a CZ858.
 
Once you get it can you post a pic of it on the 858 saskcop please??

I want one for my 858 also but would like to see how big it is on the rifle itself.
