Minor thing, when I opened the box with the sights the foam was absolutely filthy. Led me I believe someone spilled gun oil or grease into the box by accident. The sights were fine and the rubber cover too, so no complaints.

These were a surplus lot that sat around for a while, batteries were dead in most. foam in cases is aged, has no affect whatsoever on function of the optic. Great price for these optics, They are selling at less than cost of current production models. great buy.
 
Anybody else having problems with the auto-adjust? I can go in a completely dark room and then into broad daylight and the brightness doesn't change. Am I doing something wrong? Lol.
 
It seems to work primarily on the battery, I have no problem powering up to "over power" any lighting situation. I've noticed mine getting a bit brighter in daylight but you may need to help it by jacking up the intensity.

Overall I'm very happy with mine. I have an Aimpoint Micro that is outstanding but in some ways I like this sight better.

Great price / buy for the capabilities.

Some had batteries inside that were dead, but all were supllied with a new battery. Not surplus, there was a military that ordered them, then changed their mind and delivery never took place. They would normally come in cardboard boxes, but we were offered the hard cases for free. We're guessing that our supplier had some old ones laying around they wanted to get rid of. They may be ugly cases, but they ensure that the postal service can drop kick the package and your RSA will be untouched.

The entire spectrum of brightness can be adjusted. If it's not bright enough outside, adjust it until it is. Then it will autodim when going indoors. The neat thing about these older models is that they "save" the brightness settings. If you change the autoadjust and turn the unit on it will remember the setting. The new production models reset when you turn them off/on.

Sorry about missing this post. Yes, under very special circumstances. Basically we'd have to meet you at our own personal residence because we are prohibited from face to face customer transactions at our business location. Even then it can only apply to optics & accessories and not firearms. It's resevred for circumstances beyond just wanting to save a few bucks on shipping.
