Goodbye Glock

Like I said, on a target gun I don't mind but on a fighting gun, under stress, with a gun that is already uncomfortable, (maybe slippery from rain or snow)

I hope you don't take this as me beating a drum, but this rationale is the perfect reasoning to learn to use controls that are on 90% (guessing percentage -perhaps more) of handguns that are out there.
If you are in a profession / occupation / situation where you need to depend on a pistol to save your life, one would do well to practice for all eventualities / possibilities, one of which includes using a firearm you may not be perfectly comfortable with (at least at the outset).

I went from zero handguns to 4 handguns in less than a month. My credit card is almost worn out.

I Currently own:

GLOCK 17 (soon to be a M&P_)
S&W 686 7 shot non-fluted cylinder
Ruger Mark III Hunter
Norinco Type 54-1 7.62X25 (for $150 why not?)

And I am getting a Dlask 1911 VERY soon.

It is how a healthy life should be:D

Glocks are a great platform, and I've only encountered a few problems with them. Trigger springs break ( twice ) and extractors chip off the lower edge creating FTE's ( again dealt with it twice ). I had a 21 and a 22 and used a 17 a friend had.
I think you have a 80% chance of making a good deal.
I just did a similar thing ( sold my G22 and got a M&P40).
My reasons were:
-cut rifling, shoots lead safely.
-fully supported chamber means no bulged brass.
-magazines are mostly metal and drop out easier/quicker.
-magazine release is erginomically shaped , not sharp like the Glock.
-interchangable backstraps make it a better fit for my wife, as in its adjustable.
-it just plain looks cool.

Personally I still like my STI a whole heck of a lot more.....

I might not be trading the GLOCK! I am considering just buying the M&P outright and ending up with both. Best of both worlds! I just need to find a way to pull it off financially. My M&P is in coming in next week so I have just a few days to figure it out.

I need a :slap:

Sell some body parts???:D Just kidding. Yes I agree it is the best way because you can compare both gun side by side and decide which one really should go.

I did the same thing. Had both....each pistol has its merits and this way you can run them side by side and make an informed decision. Who knows....you may decide that the G17 is a better choice. FWIW, I would've like to keep both but I had to raise funds for another "toy". ;) It was a little easier for me because I'm not left handed and it boiled down to which one I shot better. YMMV.......... No slap needed! ;)
