Hi All
I am interested in how the Brenneke slugs looks without the felt wad screwed in and how they are made but for the life of me I can not find any info on the net.
Has anyone looked into this and has some info?
For example in the picture below I have a picture of 3 different slugs I have.
The one on the left is the Challenger 12ga 1 1/8 oz found lots of info on that as it appears to be the DGS / Gualandi Borra-Proiettile
The one on the right is a 12ga 1 oz S&B slug and just seems to be a standard foster slug type design.
The one in the middle is the Rottweil Brenneke 12ga 1 1/8 oz
The questions I have about the Brenneke
- The lead part of the slug is shorter than the other slugs even though it is 1 1/8 oz is that because it does not have a hollow interior?
- any picture of a brenneke slug I have seen always has the felt wad screwed on does that mean the weight of the slug is calculated with lead plus wad?
- are the other slugs calculated that way as well for example challenger slug would be slug plus plastic bit (sorry about my non technical knowledge) even though they are like two separate components?
