Boyds has a $500 limit now for Canada.
Won't be getting those into Canada , over the $100.00 limit unfortunately.

I use a regular blade, whatever is in the saw. A finer 80T blade might be better but for wood stocks just put on a couple of wraps of masking tape and for synthetic always remember to put the blade on backwards like for cutting house siding.

This is what I was going to suggest. I'd pass on the sights. The older dbm rem mountain rifles have everything you need minus the sights, most smiths have rem sights laying around they'd probably give you and just charge labour, or williams fire sights are a nice option.
Oh, the website still says $100.00
That opens up options for sure then.

Ellwood Epps has a couple of Ruger Compacts in 7mm-08 that are awesome, except they don't have detachable mags nor open sights.

Kelly, if your shooter is a lefty, I have the perfect rifle and it's brand new in box!
As pointed out the limit is now $500. The LOP can be adjusted as a custom option for $25. I wish I had known that when buying my wife a youth model. I would have bought a different rifle and simply put a custom Boyds stock on it. You can simply buy the action/chambering you want and make it fit.
I think this will be the easiest route to go.Will never get the options I want and a fancy walnut stock too boot.
Much easier to build around the action.
I would love to give a new home to it ,but a RH shooter is to be the user.
I am sure it is the perfect rifle too!
yep, and you'll never guess what cartridge it shoots. Yes you will
Perhaps an eye dominance test is in order before this goes too far?![]()
