I searched 240 acres of grazeland for 2 hours but Fenris (the dog) and I did manage to find one this morning! taken with one shot from my new Savage FV-SR. Love this rifle, gotten a few muskrats with it since I got it boxing day.

Only problem is, you shot one of the only two on your patch, so now they won't breed and you won't have anymore to shoot later. Looking forward to popping a few myself with my new Stainless Savage BTVS .22LR. Got the CZ 455 .22mag for the long shots. Thinking maybe I'll pickup a Henry Survival rifle for touring on the motorcycle and popping a few in the back country here and there.
 
-41C with the windchill here in S. Ontario yesterday...not much better today. However, a photo of a rimfire rifle and a dead gopher...well...that warms me right up! :) Well done Loki610! Like the FV-SR too! ;)
 
Picked up the same gun not long ago... Has nothing but good reviews. Hope it warms up soon, like others have said Ottawa has been cold this winter. Two horrible winters in a row. I can't take it anymore lol.
 
Looking forward to having a 1K gopher year. Been so warm this winter in Southern Alberta, that they'll be up early and breeding like wildfire.

After last year's comparative cold (and long) winter, I barely broke 300 all year.

That is a fine looking rifle. I have not heard of this model until just now and clearly one just like it belongs in my safe. I have been looking for the past hour or so online. Either I suck at the Googling or they are sold out everywhere. Does anyone know where I can find one?

Nice shooting. Oh - and it was 14c yesterday; I shot trap in a T-shirt and the vest I wear to hold my ammo made it a little hot. ;)
