I can feel it start to get warmer and time to start thinking about doing my part to help Alberta keep the gopher population on the down low, I'm in need of a new location since the area I and a partner have been shooting the last couple years has had a dramatic reduction in the population. If anyone knows of a good spot in the south that is easy access and hunter friendly, PM me. The wifey and I are going to spend this years vacation touring Alberta and blasting gophers. :D :D

Thanks guys

That must be a sure sign of Spring being around the corner.

Just yesterday I was explaining the joy of shooting "snow gophers" to my youngest boy. Red mist on a snowy white background.:D :D :D

All I gotta say is "You know your a gun nut when ....." ;)

Wish my wife would go along with something like that. I think if I even mentioned it she would beat me to death with a frozen chicken.

John, If your into gopher shooting we should hook up this spring and head south for a couple days shooting, just got to find a good place first.

Sounds like a plan to me. My new Nightforce scope should be here tomorrow or the next day and I would love to try 'er out on some little furries.

NP-R2, for now.

I talked to Nightforce and they are coming out with a better version of MOA reticle called the NPR-1 which breaks it down into 1 MOA verticle and 2 MOA horizontal. They say it'll be available in the summer, I may get it switched out when it's available we'll see.

6mm, where are they outside of the city here, and is it an issue with property owners? I lost my shooting ground this year, so I would definately be interested in knowing where to go this year!!! Thanks!!

30 miles south east on the 33 highway. They are friends of mine that have a few sections of pasture that has been absoltely polluted since I was a very young boy. They used to be into dairy but now have 2500 pigs and 500 beef cattle. So the dead animals also attrack a few coyotes.
