I just acquired a Parker Hale .308 winchester. It is of course walnut, with rosewood tip and rosewood grip cap. It has nice cut checkering and a 23 inch barrel. It has a gold colored trigger, and a removable clip (with a spare).
The serial number is R 58103 and it has small proof marks on reciever and barrel that have a crown over the letters BNP.
The bluing is near perfect (99%) and the wood is excellent with just a few marks and light scratches. The bore is absolutely perfect. It has a raised cheek piece on the stock. Does anyone have any idea how old this rifle is?
What an approximate value is? I cant seem to find out how to upload pictures of it. Any help with that would be great also.
Thanks to all my gunnutz brothers for any help you can give me.
