Got me a 454 Casull Alaskan...

For a project of Elk hunting with a handgun in the US of A, i will practice with the scope... Better be ready than sorry... JP.;)

You've got it goin on caramel, keep us posted

I shot .44 Mag for the first time, this past winter. I would have no problem trying the bigger boys, as the .44 was not near as "bad" as I thought it might be :)

...ah, 460 and 500 S&W is nothing to sneeze at and if you're to believe Hickok .45 he states the .454 Casull as having a felt recoil more than the aforementioned (.500 comes w/built in compensator). I shoot .44 Rem Mag often (Factory full house), and even that I can only "enjoy" 3 maybe 4 cylinders. I dunno if it's the hardwood stocks but I find even the .44 beats the hands and wrist up quite a bit (I have rubber grips but prefer wood on my wheel guns).

I bought a box of 454 Casull for my 460V. The weight of the 460V really tamed the recoil. Lost interest shooting this round after 2 cylinders.
Hornady 460 ammo on the other hand sent shock waves through out the 10 bay (in-door) range. Made the table mat and my pants "dance" every time I pulled the trigger:)

How does your 460V group with the different types of ammo?

since you appear to enjoy the .454's buck and roar.
How are your groups with the hand cannon?:)

Did not recieve neither my revolver or scope yet, if it's anything like my Super Redhawk 44 mag 4.2 accuracy wise ( recoil is moderate compared to my S&W 629 4.2 and even smoother than my S&W Model 29), it will be very good... JP.:)
